As per Board policy 803.1, the Williamsburg Community School District is accepting bids for the disposition of the following vehicles. 


Bids should be submitted via e-mail or hard copy to Chad Garber, superintendent, by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019.

Bids submitted will be final, and the Board reserves the right to refuse or reject any and all bids.  The Board will review all bids at the September 11, 2019 regular meeting. Bidders may attend the public meeting, but do NOT need to attend.

Submit bids in whole dollar increments, please. 

Please utilize a bid sheet linked here, or pick up a hard copy at the central office or bus barn. Bidders will be notified of vehicle sale on September 12, 2019.

Vehicles may be inspected at the District Bus Barn, 211 Industrial Park Drive, in Williamsburg. Questions regarding these vehicles may be directed to John Schnebbe, district mechanic, at 319-668-1555. Vehicles are labeled with the following numbers. Those labeled numbers are reflected on the bid sheet, as well. (NOT by bus number)

Vehicle #1: 1995 Chevy Bluebird 9 Passenger Mini-bus (gas) with 133,000 miles. Is not running.

Vehicle #2: 1997 Ford Windstar Mini-van (gas) with 209,300 miles. Is not running.

Vehicle #3: 1999 Ford Econoline Van (gas) with 206,700 miles. Is not running.

Vehicle #4: 2001 65 Passenger Bluebird Bus (diesel) with 228,400 miles. Runs. 3126 Cat Engine. Air brakes.

Vehicle #5: 1998 65 Passenger Thomas Bus (diesel) with 152,500 miles. Runs. 444E Engine. Air brakes.

Vehicle #6: 2001 65 Passenger Bluebird Bus (diesel) with 179,000 miles. Runs. 3126 Cat Engine. Air brakes.

Vehicle #7: 1999 30 Passenger Thomas Bus (diesel) with 126,000 miles. Is not running. 466E Engine. Air brakes.

Vehicle #8: 1999 66 Passenger Thomas Bus (diesel) with 182,000 miles. Runs. Air brakes.
